What You’ll Need to Bring
As this is the first time I’ll be seeing you, you should bring along a few extra things to help me better understand what is going on and how I can help you. These include:
- A sample of footwear you wear most commonly (e.g. sport/running shoes, casual shoes, work footwear).
- Wear or bring a change of shorts or pants that can be rolled up (dresses/skirts aren't recommended)
- Any referrals, reports from other practitioners (including surgical reports) or any other relevant medical information
- Any scans / imaging done on your feet
Many people ask, “All my shoes? I’ve got so many!”
The purpose of bringing in your shoes is so I can see the type of shoe you’re wearing and how that may be impacting your symptoms, if there’s anything we can fit inside your shoe like an orthotic, heel raise, forefoot pad or whether you need to change the shoe completely.
If you’ve got many shoes, I’d like to see a sample of the types of shoes you wear, as well as any shoes that:
- Make your problem a lot better
- Make your problem worse
- You walk / exercise in
- - Anything you’re required to wear e.g. dress work shoes, work boots
Don't have access to your scans or images?
If you don’t have access to your any scans / images, if it was done at a private provider in Canberra, we’ll most likely be able to access the scan during the appointment.
If it’s done at ACT Health/Hospital or an interstate radiology clinic, please contact the radiology clinic to either send you or us a report.
Fees and payment:
Payment is required in full at the time of your appointment. By attending an appointment, you agree to settle your account in full at the time of the consult.

If there’s any additional costs, we’ll discuss them with you at your appointment before incurring these.
Cancellation Policy:
We require 24 hours notice prior to your appointment time to cancel or change your appointment. Non-attendance on the day without notification or multiple last minute cancellations will incur a fee of 100% of the consult cost.
