What to expect at your first appointment

During your appointment I’ll do a thorough assessment of your feet and ankles, watch you walking, running and have you perform a series of strength and mobility assessments. If beneficial for your injury, we’ll also use strength testing technology to accurately assess your current capacity.

We’ll discuss your running and injury history, your current goals and look at your current training plan.I’ll also go through any reports or radiology you’ve completed prior to the appointment.

With all this information, I’ll be able to provide you with an explanation of what is going on, give you a detailed treatment plan of how I can help you get back to your best and refer for any radiology if required.

We’ll also discuss your footwear and whether a change will be beneficial and provide guidance on how to modify your training program (if required), to assist your recovery.

Depending on your injury history and current goals, there’s also opportunities to discuss long term injury prevention and strength and conditioning for improving performance.
