Injury and Pain Assessment
Injury and Pain Assessment
I’m able to provide you with a thorough assessment of your feet and lower limbs, order diagnostic testing (if required) and use this information to craft a personalised treatment plan designed to get you back to enjoying walking and moving.
From long-standing, niggling pains to acute injuries, I’m able to help you with all your foot, ankle and shin pains.
Common conditions I treat include:
- Heel Pain (Plantar Fasciitis)
- Forefoot pain (morton’s neuroma)
- Osteoarthritis
- Tendon pain
- Stress fractures / traumatic fractures
- Shin splints (Medial tibial stress syndrome)
I’m also able to help those with hypermobility, complex medical conditions and provide second opinions for foot and ankle pain or foot orthoses.
What to expect
At your initial assessment I will spend time getting to know not just about your injury or problem but we get to know you.
I’ll do a thorough assessment of your foot and ankle, watch you walking and moving, look at your shoes and anything else you have related to your lower limb or injury, such as foot orthoses or radiology.
I understand that everyone is different. So we’ll discuss not only about what caused your current injury or pain, but also what types of activity you like doing, your concerns about the condition as well as preferences for management.
After your initial assessment you will understand your diagnosis, all the treatment options available, what activity you can keep doing as you recover and how long it may take to get back to being better than your best.
Then I’ll work with you, guiding you through your recovery to get you back to your previous best (and beyond!).
Who I treat
From athletes to the weekend warriors, kids through to older adults, I enjoy seeing people of all ages and abilities.
I have experience working with elite athletes, sports teams and other healthcare providers, including physiotherapists, GPs and medical specialists. So you can be sure, whatever your situation, I’m able to assist.
